FRANCISCAN UNDERGROUND CEMETERY
Long ago, only the elite Catholic families and the Franciscans are being buried here after they died. It’s for the fact that they belongs to the “Buena Familia” a rich people who can afford to lease a spot for their departed loved ones.
Just before we enter the underground cemetery, we notice a faded Spanish text and it says: (translated in English) “Go Forth, Mortal man full of life, today you visit happily this shelter, But after you have gone out, Remember, you have a resting place here, Prepared for you.”
This place is truly enchanting. It melts the heart of those who love history because this place considered as historical landmark because this was used to be a secret meeting place of the revolutionary leaders in Laguna in 1896. That’s why we take the opportunity to take a shot giving out our best pose when suddenly one of my friends just fart. (hahaha) Whoa. Sudden change of atmosphere begins, silence was break with laughter. Since where in underground, just imagine the worst thing we injured at that moment (suffocation) hahaha.

Before leaving the place we apologize for the annoying sound that my friend responsible of doing. Then move to Town Proper of Nagcarlan that is just a few walks away from Underground Cemetery.
